ISY with new PLM

Whenever a PLM that is being used with the ISY fails, there are steps that must be completed so that communication between the ISY and the devices work properly.
  1. Power down the ISY
  2. Unplug the defective PLM and unplug the ethernet cable from it
  3. Plug the ethernet cable into the new PLM, and plug into power
  4. Log into the ISY's Admin Console
  5. Once in the Admin Console, select File --> Restore Modem (PLM)
  6. After that is complete, select File --> Restore All Devices
  7. That process will take a while to complete depending on how many devices you have within your ISY.
Once all of those steps have been complete, the new PLM should be fully linked to all of your Insteon devices.
